Cats are far less likely to be overweight than are dogs, but are more likely to be underweight due to a poor diet, hairballs, failure to extract the full goodness of the food that they eat, or decreasing appetite due to age.
Cats are very fussy, so ensure that their dishes are scrupulously clean, that food is fresh and served at room temperature (never straight form the fridge). Do not feed treats between meals but stick to a 2 or 3 time’s daily meal at the same times.
